Just a Little Writing

For I long to know who you are

The name you have been given

The color of your hair

To look into your eyes

Hold hands as we walk side by side

To hold you as we laugh and cry

To share with you memories both good and bad

To become one in Christ

And although I am yet to know who you are

I know that I love you

That each and every day I think about you

That I pray God blesses me with privilege of meeting you

That you will be so focused on Christ that I am at first an after thought

That I will be terrified to talk to you in the beginning

But that I would rather talk to no one else than you in the end

For I long to know who you are

But as I wait for that moment

I take comfort in knowing that you are loved

Loved by the creator Himself

That while I am certain to fail you

He will never let you down

That while I will hurt you

He will always be good to you

I can only pray that you seek Him first always

And know that I long to know who you are
